It’s that time of year—the time where we reveal our new Holiday Cocktail List! Our Mixoligist has worked so hard ( and we’ve been forced to help him with a lot of taste testing at the office;) ) and we are so excited to share the recipes with you. We are positive these drinks will simply impress the stockings off of you. We are sure your holiday guests will feel the same way. And hey—if you aren’t expecting guests, they work just as well for cozying up to the fire and treating yourself.
We will be revealing one cocktail a day this week. Be sure to let us know your favorite!
First up, we begin with a twist on a classic:
• 12 egg yolks
• 1 ½ cups fine granulated sugar
• 1 quart of heavy cream
• 1 quart of whole milk
• ½ quart of Bourbon
• ½ quart of Cognac
• Nutmeg/cinnamon sticks for garnishes
Beat the egg yolks until they are light. Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until the yolks are thick and light in color. Pour the mixture in a bowl set over ice.
Whip in heavy cream and whole milk. Very Slowly add the Bourbon and Cognac. Fold in the egg whites that have been beaten to a stiff peak. Sprinkle the top with nutmeg to taste.
**Note you can substitute other Liquor, such as Spiced Rum, Brandy, or your favorite liqueur
** For Non-Alcoholic version omit the Liquor
