A Dramatic And Stately Room For Any Occasion
The stately Grand Hall overlooking the indoor Garden Courtyard makes for a breathtaking entrance to your event. The hall’s original arched clerestory windows and skylights create a dramatic light-filled space. Classical detailing and artistry abound, from intricately hand-carved floret adornments to rich-toned, marble-paved flooring. The Grand Hall is most commonly used for wedding ceremonies and cocktail hour.

The indoor Garden Courtyard provides guests with a breathtaking setting in the heart of the city, reminiscent of 19th century classical European estate gardens. This sunken courtyard provides a unique multi-level mingling experience for cocktail hour and dancing.
A PERFECTLY ELEGANT SPACE
A traditional library reference and research room, the Providence Journal Rhode Island Room houses and displays the Library’s unique Rhode Island Collection and offers a formal space for an elegant rehearsal dinner or as an add-on for larger guest counts.

Venue Rental Rates
The rental rate ranges from $2,000 - $5,500 for use of the Grand Hall, Ship Room, Indoor Garden Courtyard and Trustees room depending on the date. For larger events, the Rhode Island Room can be added on for an additional $1,500. You may have your ceremony on-site for an additional $500.
We believe that our beautiful exclusive venues should be available to couples with many different types of wedding budgets. We have a wide range of pricing options available based on your date. The more flexibility you have in your date, the more pricing options you will have to choose from. Whichever date and price option you choose, you will always receive our highest quality food, service and hospitality.
The venue rental rate includes round dining tables, cocktail tables and Chiavari chairs. Your Russell Morin Planning Coordinator will coordinate specialty lighting through our exclusive partner and assist with additional table, chair and décor enhancements.
There is no parking on-site, and we highly recommend full valet or shuttle service, which will be coordinated through your Russell Morin Planning Coordinator.
