We have another stunning winter wedding at the Providence Public Library for you. This bride and groom dreamed of a wedding that was classic and beautiful, but also unique to them as a couple. They certainly brought that vision to life — the library gave them the timelessness they were after, and they incorporated details throughout that infused their personalities into their big day.
Abigail and Jon invited men and women to stand by both of their sides during the ceremony, with Jon’s sister serving as his ‘Best Person.’ Abigail bucked tradition by pairing bright fuschia shoes with her formal gown, which matched the men’s fuschia socks dotted with martini glasses. She and her best friend hand-cut, stamped, and wrote every place card. We love thoughtful details like these — small, unique touches that together make a celebration that much more special.
The Providence Public Library is one of our exclusive venues. In addition to its undeniably stunning architecture, we love the convenience of having so many great hotels right around the corner — it’s a lesser-known feature that’s particularly appealing on a snowy wedding day like this one. We asked Abigail and Jon what made them choose the Library:
Oh my - it is so beautiful!!!! When you walk in and it’s totally empty, with raw lighting and no wedding touches, it is still absolutely breathtaking. It has small mosaic flooring, beautiful marble, details along the ceilings. Everything about it was perfect. It is classic and unique and allowed for multiple areas (one for the ceremony, one for dancing, one for dinner) which we really loved.
The couple also shared some especially kind words about their experience working with the Russell Morin team:
Amazing. Flawless. Kind. Thoughtful. From start to finish our experience with Russell Morin was phenomenal. They were fair with pricing and provided an exceptional service. The food was literally the best I have ever had at a wedding (and I've been to many!), the staff was polite, professional, expeditious.
Our coordinator, Ardriana, was a DREAM. She was kind and gentle and there when I needed her. She was responsive to me throughout the planning process and throughout the wedding weekend. I also have to give major props to my bridal attendant, Janet. She was there any time I wanted her, without my having to say or do a thing, and somehow I never felt like she was on top of me. She was hands-down my wedding fairy-Godmother.
At the end of the night, we were sent home with sandwiches, snacks, a huge selection of all of our desserts (most of which we both missed at the actual reception), corks from our first bottles of champagne as a married couple, our place cards, a favor for each of us, I mean - you didn't miss a thing! We could not be happier.
