Where to even begin? Incredible Caterer & Team

Where to even begin? Russell Morin is far and away the best caterer we have ever worked with. We used Russell Morin for three events in Newport for our wedding weekend in June 2025. We did not have a separate wedding planner, so Russell Morin acted as the planner and coordinator for all three events (in addition to being the caterer). This involved coordinating with ~20 different vendors (DJ, audio equipment, florals, Indian caterer, band, henna artists, furniture rental companies, tent rental companies, decor rentals, and many more). 

 

The first night was a Welcome Night with drinks, passed hors d’oeuvres, food stations and passed desserts wherein we hosted ~275 guests at the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The event went off swimmingly and people loved the food. 

 

The following night, we hosted a Wedding Ceremony & Sangeet at the International Yacht Restoration School wherein we hosted ~350 guests. The event featured a ceremony, a cocktail hour, a Sangeet, dinner and dancing. The logistics of this event were complex due to the lack of an on-site kitchen and strict fire marshal regulations, but Russell Morin handled the logistics perfectly. Russell Morin brought in their partner Indian Accent to provide food for this event, though RM still provided all of the waitstaff, bar staff, event logistics and more. 

 

Finally, our third event featured a Baraat, Hindu Ceremony and dinner reception at Eisenhower House wherein we hosted ~350 guests again. Again, the event was executed perfectly, despite the venue also not having an on-site kitchen, the large guest count, and the added complexities of the Indian traditions like the Baraat and ceremony. 

 

Guests loved the food at all three events. The staff were a delight to work with. In particular, we want to thank Lizzy Desibia, who worked with us throughout our wedding planning process and executed all three of our events excellently. She was a pleasure to work with and has become a close friend of ours and our family’s through this process! Similarly, we want to thank Maggie Shields, our day-of coordinator, Emily Rachels, our ceremony coordinator, and Caryl and Emma, our newlywed attendants. Emily walked us and our family members through all the details of our ceremony during the rehearsal and then also guided us through the ceremony on the day-of. Caryl and Emma ensured we always had a drink, a full plate of food, or anything else we needed. 

 

All of the Russell Morin staff were fantastic and deserve high praise. We cannot recommend Russell Morin more highly for your wedding or for any other event. I’d recommend getting in touch with them as early as possible during your wedding or event-planning process, as they are real experts and can give you a lay of the land. Thank you, Russell Morin!!
