Abbie and Chris’ August wedding at Mount Hope Farm was a coastal celebration that highlighted the natural beauty of the venue.
The couple immediately fell in love with Cove Cabin when they first toured it – “We felt like we were on a private island, with rustic elements from the cabin that reminded me of time at camp as a child,” said the bride.
Abbie and Chris wanted a venue that allowed their guests to stay in one place for the entirety of the celebration, but also one that had separation for each part of the day. Mount Hope Farm’s expansive layout fit the bill, and allowed them a waterfront ceremony, cocktails at the Cabin overlooking sweeping views of the Mount Hope Bay, and a reception under the fully floored tent. Abbie also loved that she could reserve an additional stay on property the night before the wedding, and have a dedicated space to get ready and take photos prior to the ceremony.
One of the couple’s favorite moments was having a mindful moment together before entering the reception. They reminded themselves of how lucky they were to have found each other, and how grateful they were for their life together, right before celebrating and dancing with all of their favorite people.
The couple loved everything on their menu, and said their guests still rave about how great the food was. Their standouts include the chili lime watermelon cube and the chicken and biscuit hors d’oeuvres, and the steak tenderloin entree.
From the couple: “It was great working with a team who has been a part of many events at our venue. Having a day-of coordinator allowed us to be able to relax during the day and not worry about timing or mishaps.”
